New Assisting Minister - Postulant Karen Pitt
Our Parish is pleased to welcome to our Ministry Team a new assisting minister, Postulant Karen Pitt. She is in her second year of a Master of Divinity program at Atlantic School of Theology, Halifax. Although she was born in Ontario, Karen has spent her last 20+ years living in England. She comes to us with many spiritual gifts. We welcome her to our Faith Family in May. Suffragan Bishop Ron has posted her with us for the summer.
Summer Study – Explore Jesus as Hero - July 7 to August 11
From July 7 to Aug.11, we study "Jesus 101: Jesus the Supreme Conqueror." Jesus' strategy for victory was countercultural. The Bible describes him as a conquering hero - but a hero who had to die first. In our world, conquering heroes achieve victory with power, not weakness. The sessions bring a fresh perspective on who Jesus is, how he interacted with people in Scripture and how he relates to us.
This Bible program is held on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in St. Timothy's Church. Bring a bible and a coffee mug. Visitors and drop-ins are welcome.
