St. Timothy's Bell Refurbished - November 23rd

E-mail Print

Inspired by Pastor Lisa's 2008 Christmas Eve sermon "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" the Property Committee has been looking into re-installing the old church bell. Committee member, Mike Baker has taken on the project and has the new mechanical bell-ringing in hand. The bell will be installed on the roof and a spiffy shingled roof and casing to go around it. We intend to ring the bell for Sunday worship, weddings and of course on Christmas Eve.

We give thanks to Mike Baker and his mechanical genius for putting this together. We look forward to hearing the beautiful bell peal in our community once again. A sign of the Christian community at work, play and at worship.

Below are some photos of Mike demonstrating the polished bell and the new bell-ringing mechanism.

Stained Glass Window Repairs at St Paul's

Several of St. Paul ’s stained glass windows are in need of repair as they are bowing out. We expect to undertake the work in the spring of 2010 using Sattlers Stained Glass Studio, Mahone Bay . Donations may be made to St. Paul’s Building Fund to help support this work. There will be no special memorial dedications as this is repair work not a replacement.
